Vivienne is an illustrator and visual development artist working in film and publishing. After graduating from the College of Fine Arts in 2006, she went on to work as a visual development artist for children’s TV animation before moving to the film industry.
She has designed characters and creatures for both animated and live action feature films including The Lego Movie, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole and Walking With Dinosaurs.
In 2011 she moved across the pond to London in search of adventure. It was there that she branched out from film and discovered a love of children’s publishing. Since then she has illustrated several books including The Blackwell Pages series by K.L. Armstrong and M.A. Marr, the Randi Rhodes, Ninja Detective series by Octavia Spencer, the Mouseheart series by Lisa Fiedler, the Odditorium series by Gregory Funaro, the Story Thieves series by James Riley, as well as creating new covers for The Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins.
Most recently Vivienne has worked as the Art Director on The Lego Batman Movie.
Her first picture book The Sloth Who Came To Stay, with author Margaret Wild, was published by Allen & Unwin in July 2017.
She is currently based in Wellington, New Zealand. When she isn't drawing, she can be found knitting on the couch, watching cute dogs at the local park or reading in the children's section of the library and trying to blend in.
Vivienne is represented by Shannon Associates.
